BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A semitrailer overturned Tuesday morning in Boone County.
The Indiana State Police responded to the scene shortly before 11:30 a.m. on I-65 NB near the 133 mile marker.
According to a release from the Indiana State Police, 31-year-old Cory Shaw was driving a semi-tractor trailer and veered off the right side of the road near SR 267.
Shaw was trapped in the vehicle but was pulled out by emergency responders. He was taken to Methodist Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the crash, the cargo, liquid soap, was spilled onto the entrance ramp. Haz-Mat workers have been cleaning up the spill for several hours. Officials say the cleanup will take at least three more hours.
INDOT says the NB 267 ramp to I-65 will be closed until cleanup is complete.
