LEBANON, Ind. (Lebanon Reporter) - Boone County Courthouse employees, local police, and fire officials will join together in a commemoration of the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner the Lebanon Reporter reports.
The commemoration will also honor the heroism of passengers.
The ceremony will begin at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday. The observance has been held every year since the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in 2011.
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held at the flagpoles on the southwest corner of the courthouse lawn.
The event will be moved inside of the courthouse rotunda if bad weather develops. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
