FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) - A 22-year-old man is in custody, thanks in part to help from residents in Frankfort.
Jessie Marcum was arrested for residential entry, attempted residential entry, criminal mischief and failure to identify.
He was caught by police after a homeowner called 911 saying a shirtless and shoeless man was trying to break into her home.
Another homeowner called police when a man with the same description entered her home uninvited.
The woman screamed and the man left.
Frankfort police officers and Clinton County deputies arrested Marcum after a third neighbor spotted him in the 400 block of Hemlock.
Police Chief Troy Bacon said this is a clear example of how law enforcement and the community can work together.
