PERU, Ind. (WISH) - Peru High School faculty and students were sent home early Thursday after a non-specific verbal threat was made by a student.

Students and staff were released at 1:30 p.m. as a precautionary measure. The student who made the threat was removed.

School administrators say at no time were any students or staff in danger.

Indiana State Police searched the school for explosive devices. No dangerous devices were found.

Classes will be in session Friday at normal time.
