ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) - MTV reality star Amber Portwood was sent back to jail Thursday, accused of violating terms of the drug court program she had been accepted into, 24-Hour News 8 news partner the Herald Bulletin reports .

The “Teen Mom” star’s lawyer told the newspaper she has not been thrown out of the program, but could remain in jail until next week while the court reviews the case.

He said the incarceration came after allegations that she had not been fulfilling the program’s requirements after undergoing surgery. He would not disclose details about the surgery, saying only that it wasn’t serious.

Portwood was accepted into the drug court program in February and ordered to serve the remainder of her sentence at a halfway house, instead of in jail. If she fails to meet the requirements of the program, she will serve five years in the Department of Correction.
