KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) - A Kokomo teenager died early Friday, and he may have been shot.

Howard County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the area of County roads 100 North and 300 East Friday at around 4:30 a.m. Friday. They found 18-year-old Hassan Jabree Burnett in the road. Despite attempts at CPR, Burnett was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

24-Hour News 8 news partner the Kokomo Tribune reports the teen died in a possible shooting.

Howard County authorities say an autopsy was being performed to determine the teen’s cause of death.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact police at 765-457-1105.
