TIPPECANOE CO., IN. (WISH) - Two people were hurt in an off road vehicle crash in Tippecanoe County on Saturday evening.
50-year-old Michael Alsop, of Lafayette and 50-year-old Anthony Brubb of Westfield were both taken to Lafayette hospitals with injuries when their off road vehicle flipped over.
Officers report that the markings at the scene indicated Alsop was attempting to make a turn at a speed greater than the vehicle could handle, causing it to flip over.
Alsop suffered several broken ribs and a collapsed lung and was taken to St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette for treatment.
Brubb suffered a broken leg and wrist and was taken to IU Arnett in Lafayette for treatment.
Officers say alcohol was present in the system of both the driver and passenger and is being considered as a contributing factor in the accident.
No charges have been filed at this time.
