PENDLETON, Ind. (WISH) - The Correctional Industrial Facility in Pendleton has added two new ICAN puppies to the program.
“Teller” and “Holly” are the latest additions to the Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN) Program, which began in May 2012.
The program began with eight handlers and has since expanded to 11. The program also now has 11 dogs that are taught 50 commands over a two year period by CIF offenders, who act as handlers.

After the dogs have learned all 50 commands they are turned over as service animals. The dogs assist with clients who are autistic, have mobility and balance issues or who are diabetic.
