INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A Sharpsville woman was killed in an early morning crash on US Highway 31 at Howard County Road 500 South near the Howard/Tipton County line.

Indiana State Police say Darian Davis was driving at a high rate of speed when the right tires of her 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee left the roadway causing her to lose control.

The Jeep flipped at least four times, ejecting Davis from the vehicle. ISP believes she was also struck by a semi-tractor trailer. She was pronounced dead at the scene. ISP says she was not wearing a seat belt.

Witnesses told troopers they watched as the semi drove through a debris field shortly after the crash. Police do not know if the driver was aware he possible struck Davis.

Anyone with additional information about the crash is asked to call Trooper Wendell Beachy at 765-473-6666.
