Witness speaks out about flasher

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Mykayla Abston said the man who asked her and her friends for clothing advice looked like Mr. Rogers. But she didn't expect what was coming next. Abston said the man exposed himself to her and her friends during a July trip to Target. It's just one of a dozen indecent exposure reports in Lafayette within the last three months.

"I didn't think anything of it," Abston said in regards to when the suspect asked her advice about clothing. "He just walked away. I went to look for a fitting room and he comes up to me [again] through the lingerie section, and I looked down and he had exposed himself."

One of the girls with Abston was only 12 years old. Abston said she got the girl away before she could see anything, our sister station WLFI reports.

"It would have scarred her for life," Abston said. "That's just wrong. He shouldn't be doing that, especially to children. He must have been watching us when we came in. He is predator."

The man is also wanted for exposing himself at T.J. Maxx. Police said they are also looking for two other men wanted for exposing themselves at a Wal-Mart and Bay Point Apartments. Police said the number one way to catch the criminals is a good witness description, like Abston's.

"Remember what you've seen, what that person was wearing, who you were with, and where you were," Lafayette Police Detective Mark Pinkard said. "Most importantly, call the police immedately."

Abston did file a police report. She said she is ready to help the police find the man before he takes more victims.
