ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) - A body found by a cleaning crew in an Anderson home Thursday has been identified, 24-Hour News 8 news partner The Herald Bulletin reports.
The woman is 57-year-old Deborah Hill, Anderson Police Department Sgt. Freddie Tevis told the newspaper. She was found wrapped in a sleeping bag. Anderson Police Department spokesman Joel Sandefur also said there was evidence someone tried to start a fire in the house. Neighbors told 24-Hour News 8 Thursday that the woman who lived in the house had not been seen since December.
The Madison County coroner's office is seeking the public's help to locate Hill's family. Anyone with information should call 765-552-2501.
The property owner, who bought the home in a tax sale, had contracted the cleaning to prepare the home for leasing.
