ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - The Zionsville Fire Department is mourning the loss of a firefighter paramedic Tuesday.
Cody Richardson, 26, was found unresponsive Monday at a farm in northern Boone County. He completed a shift with the department at 7 a.m. Monday.
According to a ZFD release, he was taken to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead. A cause of death has not been determined as of Tuesday morning, the release said.
Richardson was hired as a part time firefighter/EMT in 2007. He was hired on full time in 2008. He later went through paramedic school and became a firefighter paramedic.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lebanon Christian Church, 610 West County Road 250 North. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lebanon Christian Church.
