INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro Police are investigating the city's latest homicide. Officers found 52-year old Gregory Kemp dead in his home on the city's northwest side Saturday afternoon after his neighbors called police.

Neighbors told officers something didn't look right with Kemp's truck parked outside his home in the 2200 block of Groff Avenue, near Kessler Boulevard and Lafayette Road.

Investigators say Gregory Kemp died of blunt force trauma and he may have been in this house for several days.

"Apparently, a neighbor had noticed the resident's garage door was partially opened. And also noticed that it appeared the truck had been moved in, which was unusual because it is usually all the way back near the house. It was like that for some time, very unusual circumstance," IMPD Lt Jeff Duhamell said.

Investigators say an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Homicide at 327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
