BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) - A 21-year-old man faces a murder charge in connection with the shooting death of Pizza X employee Adam Sarnecki.
James Finney was arrested early Monday morning after police developed evidence linking him to the shooting.
Police say Sarnecki was shot as he attempted to stop Finney from breaking in to cars in the Bloomington restaurant’s parking lot.
Finney has violent incidents in his past, Bloomington Police Chief Michael Diekhoff said in a Monday afternoon news conference.
Diekhoff said Finney is a suspect in a criminal recklessness case where a woman was shot in the leg.
A vigil has been planned for Monday to honor Sarnecki. Donations are also being accepted and will be given to his family. Monday to Wednesday, all profits at the pizza place will be donated to the family.
