INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Many Central Indiana roads were cleared Tuesday morning after the recent snow, but Tuesday night's strong winds have many of them covered back up. With the winds picking up, Wednesday's commute could be a little interesting.

Off State Road 135 just south of Whiteland Road, snow covered fields created a perfect spot for blowing and drifting snow.

"It'll be over soon, so, it'll be nothing but a memory," said Ron Smith of Trafalgar.

Forecast 8's Angela Buchman said dangerously low wind chills will accompany wind gusts up to 30 mph Tuesday night. The wind will cause significant blowing and drifting snow on north/south roads ( read more ).

As Hoosiers headed home from work, you could see the strong winds blowing the snow. At one point it created white out conditions for drivers.

"It's not bad as long as you take it easy...You just be careful," said Smith.

The blowing and drifting snow kept Lacey Yanasak of Greenwood busy for most of her evening at work. Yanasak works at CVS off 135. She battled the strong winds to keep the entrance clear of snow.

"We haven't had to since maybe this afternoon. We're going to have to do it again tonight before we close," said Lacey Yanasak of Greenwood. "You clear it and, by the time you get done, you gotta do it all over again, so, busy day and I don't have time to do this," Yanasak said.

Wendy Johnson of Greenwood said she's used to the inconveniences that come along with winter weather.

"Oh yeah, I grew up in Wisconsin. So in a way, this isn't all that bad," she said.
