GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) - A local Boy Scout troop received word that their trailer that was stolen last week has been recovered.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found Greenwood Troop 621's stolen trailer and alerted the troop to the discovery.

The trailer contained the troop’s camping gear and was parked in the American Legion parking lot. The scouts had worked for five years to raise enough money for the trailer, which they finally were able to buy and pack full of camping gear.

After receiving word of the theft, an east side business donated sleeping mats and tents to the troop. The business  was recently a victim of theft and he wanted to help the scouts get back on track.

Although the trailer has been recovered, it has been impounded. The troop has yet to find out what is inside of the trailer.
