INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - People who live along a rural road in Morgan County are trying to pressure a registered sex-offender to leave their neighborhood.

24 Hour News 8 talked to the homeowners and the convicted child molester who says he's not moving.

67-year-old William Glasscock said he's not moving from the house he and his wife are renting in Martinsville. His neighbors are putting up a yard-fight in hopes that he changes his mind.

Rick Woods has lived in his Martinsville home for 10 years.

"My address is 725 North Buffalo Hill Road," Woods said.

Woods had his home up for-sale, but he's since taken the for-sale sign down and put up another sign that says, "Warning, Child Molester Lives Next Door."

"I haven't had any calls on the house since then”, Woods said.

Woods is protesting the convicted child molester who recently moved next door.

"He's not welcomed in this area," he said.

The bright yellow sign is for 67 year-old William Glasscock. Glassclock pleaded guilty in 2000 to molesting an 8 year-old girl. According to the Indiana Sex Offender Registry he was released in 2006 and is still on parole.

"He's lived here for about a month now," said Woods.

24 Hour News 8's Daniel Miller went next door to get Glasscock's reaction to the protests. His wife, Sandra, answered the door.

"It's upsetting. It really is, but you know, I'm just sorry that they feel that way," she said.

After talking with Glasscock's wife, I asked to talk to him. She walked in and he walked out.

"They are the ones that made it the issue. They are the ones that put up the signs that
Let everybody know," said William Glasscock.

Glasscock said he's not bothered by the protest.

"I moved out here legally," he said.

One neighbor even offered him money to leave.

"He aint got enough money to buy me out of this place," said Glasscock.

"This is going to be my home… Legally and I'm going to own it," he said.

24 Hour News 8's Daniel Miller told Woods, "He says he's not moving." "We'll he has every right to say that. We just hope that. Our signs are going to stay up; we're not going to give up," Woods said.

"I made the wrong decision and I paid the price," said Glasscock.

Glasscock lives about 1,800 feet from a day care center, well outside the 1,000 foot restriction.
