COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) - Another central Indiana community has put a strict smoke-free ordinance in place.

According to 24-Hour News 8 news partner The Republic , the Columbus City Council approved the law that bans smoking at bars and private clubs on a 5-2 vote at its meeting Tuesday.

The ordinance, which goes into place June 1, imposes tougher rules than current state law.
