CENTER GROVE, Ind. (WISH) - A Center Grove-area daycare and preschool has been ordered to shut down after it was found to have violated state rules.
On Jan. 30, an inspector visited the daycare and found that a man affiliated with the church was on scene after being accused of inappropriately touching a child at the Little Angels Daycare and Preschool in 2012.
The daycare was issued a notice by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration on Jan. 31. The notice stated officials were terminating the right to provide services.
After the incident, the daycare was told the man was not allowed at the church while the children were at the daycare.
The man was never arrested by police or charged with a crime. But, an investigation by the Indiana Department of Child Services found enough evidence to require he be barred from the day care, our partners at the Daily Journal report.
The daycare will remain open until Wednesday. If it remains open past Wednesday, the facility could face civil charges and fines if it remains open past that deadline.
Little Angels Daycare and Preschool is located at 1222 Demareee Road and is run as part of White River Baptist Church.
