FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) - A Franklin assisted-living facility's license has been restored after fixing its alarm system. A resident wandered outside and died in January, causing a review of the residents' records and staff members.
Morning Pointe of Franklin made the changes in response to an investigation following the death of Virginia Clayton, 85, who wandered away from the facility and died of exposure to the cold.
Our partners at the Daily Journal report Clayton's death was attributed to Morning Pointe believing she would wander and not placing her in a secured unit.
