FRANKLIN, Ind. (Daily Journal) - Police in Franklin were looking for a man after a bank robbery Friday, 24-Hour News 8 news partner the Daily Journal reports.
A man handed a note to a bank clerk at First National Bank, 1701 E. King St., and indicated he had a gun but did not show a weapon.
He left with an undisclosed amount of money, Franklin Deputy Police Chief Chris Tennell said.
The incident happened quickly, Tennell said. Police were called just before 11:30 a.m.
Investigators were searching for the man Friday afternoon. He was last seen headed east on King Street. Police released video surveillance from the bank, showing the man in sunglasses and a hat.
He is believed to be driving a white pickup truck, made in the late 1990s or early 2000s, with a red or orange board in place of a tailgate, according to a news release from Franklin police.
