GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) - Greenwood’s plan for a place for families to splash around is moving forward, and the city has now chosen the layout for the new facility.
City officials announced Thursday the selection of a proposal from Miracle Midwest to create the splash pad, which will feature six above ground features and 17 in ground features.
Some of the features include a water tower, a large water bucket, a water frog and a geyser.
The new splash pad will be built in downtown Greenwood. It replaces the aging Greenwood pool that city leaders voted in April 2012 to demolish because of safety reasons.
