GREENWOOD,Ind. (WISH) - An armed man robbed a Greenwood restaurant early Tuesday morning, police said.
Employees the Denny's Restaurant at South Park Drive near Interstate 65 called 911 at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday when a man with a gun robbed them. The man asked for change at the register, then demanded all the cash in the drawer and displayed a silver handgun stuck in the waistband of his pants, workers told police.
Greenwood Police Department said the man, described as a white male, about 5'4" tall with a thin build, a face described as "sunken in" and a 5 o'clock shadow, wearing a blue stocking cap and a dark windbreaker, ran after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash. Witnesses told police a blue vehicle, possibly a Ford Taurus, had pulled into the parking lot just before the robbery.
No shots were fired and no one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
