MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - A Martinsville Police officer has turned in his badge following a drunken encounter with officers outside of the Verizon Wireless Music Center.
Anthony Hollis resigned Tuesday just hours before the Martinsville Board of Public Works and Safety was scheduled to discuss the matter, according tothe Martinsville Reporter.
Hollis was seen walking out of a public bathroom with a female friend. Officers went to investigate when Hollis is alleged to have gotten aggressive.
He took a portable breathalyzer test which showed his blood alcohol content to be .14 percent. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
