MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - The Mooresville millennium babies turned 10 years old on January 1, 2010. The twins made history a decade ago.
Julie and Tim Wallman celebrated the birth of a new century and
their new twins; a baby boy and girl with birthdays in two
different millennia.
The first born 11:59 p.m., December 31, 1999. And, baby
number 2 was born at 12:01 a.m. January 1, 2000.
Jacob who was born first never lets his little sister forget he’s the big brother.
"Yeah, except I actually tease her, it’s a millennium,” said Jacob
Jacob’s sister, Jordan takes their unique birthdays in stride.
“It's really no different than usual,” said Jordan.
Perhaps, but that's not the way the country saw it. There were dozens of stories about them in national papers and television and the Mooresville millennium babies are babies no more.
“My kids have turned into pre-teens that I'm very proud of,” said Julie.
A sad note on this happy day; the Mooresville millennium twins and their big brother celebrated without their dad.
He died when the twins were just 13-months-old.
The twins say they're grateful for all the news coverage of their birth because they now have so much video of their dad.
