COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) - A motorcyclist was flown from the parking lot of a Columbus Wal-Mart after he slammed into the side of a car Wednesday afternoon.
24-Hour News 8 news partner The Republic of Columbus reports Michael A. Austerman Jr., 30, Elizabethtown, was accelerating in a driving lane of the lot when a car driven by Douglas Hanson, 45, Puyallup, Wash., was cutting across the parking lot. The two vehicles collided, and Austerman was seriously injured.
A Lifeline helicopter was called to fly Austerman to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
