MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - A person found dead after a fire in Morgan County Wednesday morning died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after the fire started, Morgan County Coroner Annette Rohlman said.

The fire happened at a home in the 100 block of Carter Street in Mooresville around 9 a.m. Wednesday, and Coroner Annette Rohlman was called shortly after.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after the house was set on fire.

The man was found in a bedroom.

Neighbors say the man was single and kept to himself and made seldom outdoor appearances.

Mooresville Police Department, Fire Department, State Fire Marshal and the county corner have all launched investigations.
