FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) - Police say a computer hacker stole thousands of dollars from a business in Franklin.

According to our partners at the Daily Journal, the hacker stole $58,000 by paying the money out to fake employees.

The hacker targeted Metal Pro Roofing, a company that makes metal roofs and installs them throughout the Midwest.

Officials say the hacker got into the business's computer server and created fake employee bank accounts. Over a period of five days, the hacker withdrew $58,000.

Franklin police have turned the case over to the FBI since the hacker is not believed to be from the Columbus area.
