GREENSBURG, IN. (WISH) - A church service was met with protestors in Greensburg after an anti-gay video was filmed in front of a cheering congregation.
As churchgoers pulled into the parking lot Sunday, they were greeted with people cheering and waving signs.
The video showed a young boy singing, "ain't no homo gonna make it to heaven."
After that, members of the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle started to cheer. One voice could be heard saying "that's my boy."
Since airing this video, members of the community and some around the state have become outraged. They have organized Facebook pages to coordinate their efforts of protesting.
"It's a baby. It's a baby and he's screaming hate and they are screaming and yelling like hilljacks and its mortifying," one protestor said.
We're told there will also be a protest the next Sunday as well with more people in attendance.
In the meantime, 24-Hour News 8 has made numerous attempts to talk with the pastor. Our calls have not been returned.
Church members said pastor Sangl is out of town. Church members 24-Hour News 8 talked to said they stand behind their leader.
"We support our pastor 100 percent. He's a good man and we're eagerly anticipating the coming days when the truth of the situation comes out," another churchgoer said.
