COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) - A semi overturned Wednesday night near Columbus, spilling its load of candy, police officials said.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. and closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 at Edinburgh for hours.
The semitrailer blew a tire, prompting it to go across a couple lanes and land in a ditch. The crash itself isn't what spilled the load of Altoids and LIfesavers.
"It just basically spilled the load on the ground as we were rolling it over," said John Hercamp with the tow truck service. "This way we could get the trailer out of the way and only worry about the load later."
The driver of the semi wasn't seriously hurt but was taken to a hospital to be checked out for injuries.
