Teen hit by car after getting off a bus

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) - A Franklin boy was injured when he was hit by a vehicle as he exited a county bus on Monday.

24-Hour News 8 news partner The Daily Journal reports that a 16-year-old was crossing the street after getting off of an Access Johnson County bus and was hit by an SUV.

The driver told police the teen ran into the road and tried to stop before hitting him.

He was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital and was in good condition Tuesday.
