JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A Johnson County teen was seriously injured in a dirt bike accident Tuesday evening.

Indiana Conservation officers are investigating the accident that happened around 8 p.m. in rural Johnson County.

The Greenwood teen was driving a dirt bike on private property when the accident occurred.

The teen attempted to maneuver over a dirt mound and lost control of the machine, officers say.

He was found unresponsive by a relative shortly after and was taken by ambulance to IU Health Methodist Hospital.

He was listed in critical condition late Tuesday night with severe head trauma.
