MORGAN COUNTY (WISH) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Morgan County near the town of Wilbur.
According to a press release, Michael Mills, 35, of Martinsville, was operating a 2008 Yamaha Rhino at the intersection of Little Hurricane Road and Twin Lakes Road when he lost control of the ATV causing it to flip. The machine then landed on two passengers that were ejected from the ATV.
Patricia Myers, 35, of Martinsville, suffered a broken jaw and clavicle. A juvenile passenger suffered a broken arm. Both injured passengers were taken to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis by ambulance.
It does not appear that any occupants were wearing seatbelts or safety equipment at the time of the accident.
Indiana Conservation Officers were assisted by the Morgan County Sheriff's Department.
