Woman hurt when car plunges down hill

MARTINSVILLE, IN.(WISH) - A woman is in stable condition after a car she was riding in plunges down an embankment on Blue Bluff Road north of Martinsville in Morgan County, Sunday morning.

Officers say the man driving the car lost control on wet pavement and drove off the road and went down an hill around 9 am.

The woman was trapped in the car for a short period of time.

Rescue crews were able to get her out and a helicopter was used to take her to IU Methodist Hospital.

No word on the victim's identity or her condition.
