NORTH SALEM, Ind (WISH) - Hendricks County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a man who they believe attempted to rob the North Salem State Bank Friday morning.
Authorities say 26 year old Timothy Wagers entered the bank shortly before noon and handed a teller a note demanding money.
Before the teller could hand over any money, Wagers grabbed the note and fled on foot.
Deputy Jesse Fulwider arrived in the area and located Wagers who fled when he approached.
Fulwider and several other officers gave chase and were able to apprehend Wagers in a cemetery southeast of town.
Wagers who is from Indianapolis, admitted to the attempted robbery and the note used at the bank was found in his pocket.
Wagers is being held in the Hendricks County Jail and being charged with attempted robbery and resisting law enforcement .
His bond is currently 25-thousand dollars.
