PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - A Hendricks County couple was jolted out of bed early Wednesday morning after a car smashed into their Plainfield, Ind. home.
Police say the driver was going north on Old State Highway 267, near Welch Lake Road, when he lost control and left the road. The car then sailed between trees in the yard and smashed into the garage.
Medics took two people to the hospital.
24-Hour News 8 has learned four people were in the car at the time of the crash; police say two of those in the car apparently left the scene without speaking to officers. Police have since rounded up everyone inside the car and say they don’t believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
