Gas leak prompts evacuation of businesses

AVON, Ind. (WISH) - An area near an Avon grocery store was evacuated Friday morning after gas began leaking into the area.
A gas main ruptured on North State Road 267, near a Kroger in Avon, around 7:30 a.m.
Officials said the evacuation was merely a precaution. No roads were immediately shut down.
