Hoosier Marine killed in Afghanistan

COVINGTON, Ind. (WLFI) - A Fountain County Marine was killed in action Wednesday in Afghanistan.

According to close family friend, Lance Cpl. Joshua Witsman, from Covington, was shot during an unaided operation at about noon Eastern Time on Wednesday.

Witsman's remains are still in Maryland but will be transported back to Danville, Ill., next week and will then be taken to Covington.
