I-70 crash sends one to hospital

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A Princeton, Ind. man ended up in the hospital after state police say he was speeding to meet a family member at a hospital.

Indiana State Police were called to a one-vehicle crash at 9:13 a.m. on Interstate 70 at mile marker 37.

Witnesses told officers a Nisan Quest was traveling eastbound when it veered to the left and struck the guardrail.

The driver, 23-yeae-old Jeffrey Lipko suffered lower back pain in the crash. He was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment.

He was cited for unreasonable speed.
