MONTGOMERY CO., Ind. (WISH) - An infant that was found unresponsive in a car in Montgomery County later died, officials from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office say.

Sheriff’s deputies initially went to the home in the 7000 block of North County Road 450 East around 5:20 p.m. Sunday. They found the 5-month-old in a vehicle at the home. Despite attempts to perform CPR, the infant was pronounced dead at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health Crawfordsville Hospital.

The sheriff’s department is investigating and awaiting autopsy results.
