LADOGA, Ind. (WISH) - Police in Montgomery County are hoping residents of Ladoga can help lead them to a suspect after a 94-year-old former county commissioner was found dead.

Samuel H. Kessler was found dead over the weekend in the Montgomery County community. Now, Indiana State Police say they know about when he died and they are looking for a pickup truck.

“It cannot be stressed enough that no tip is too small,” ISP officials said in a news release.

Police say evidence at the scene and autopsy results lead investigators to believe Kessler died between 7 p.m. and midnight on Saturday. Officers are also hoping people in the area at that time can tell them if they saw a dark-colored, full size pickup truck. Some witnesses say they saw a pickup truck leaving Kessler’s driveway Saturday.

Anyone in the area of the 8700 block of East State Road 234 Saturday night who saw a suspicious person or suspicious vehicle should contact police.
