DARLINGTON, Ind. (WISH) - A man collided with a tree during an off-road ATV accident Saturday afternoon north of Darlington in Montgomery County, a release stated.
According to Indiana Conservation Officers, John Flaurr, 49, of Crawfordsville, was driving a four-wheeler for the first time when he lost control of it.
Flaurr was thrown from the ATV and collided with a tree, causing unknown head injuries.
Officers say Flaurr was not wearing a helmet.
Flaurr was airlifted from the scene and taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. At this time, his conditions are unknown.
Witnesses at the scene told officers that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, according to the release.
