PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Troopers and emergency crews responded to a tractor-trailer rollover crash just before 6 a.m. Thursday near the Putnam-Morgan county line.
Indiana State Police and agencies from Putnam and Morgan counties arrived to the scene of the crash in the eastbound lanes of I-70 at the 49 mile marker.
A preliminary investigation revealed the tractor-trailer was heading eastbound in a construction zone when it drifted to the left side of the road and lost control. The trailer rolled over on the driver’s side in the middle of the road, according to police.
Both eastbound lanes of I-70 were closed.
The driver suffered from minor injuries and required no medical transport.
The co-driver was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital for treatment of chest pain.
No citations were issued. Police say drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
