FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - A 54-year-old woman was treated for a head wound injury after she crashed her car while fleeing from police early Sunday morning.
Fishers Police tell us Hancock County Sheriff's Deputy tried to stop Julie Edens before she turned off her headlights and raced at nearly 100 miles per hour on Olio road.
Sheriff's Deputy Durbin said he lost sight of the silver saturn on a curve south of Geist Reservoir Bridge, but he when he came around the corner he saw the car crashed into three large boulders.
The car was nearly split in two.
Edens crawled out of the front windshield and told Durbin she intentionally fled from him.
Edens was the only passenger.
