LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A man wanted in the ambush shootings of two southern Indiana police officers has shot himself to death in a Louisville, Ky., house, police say.

Police tried to negotiate the surrender of 37-year-old Robert Datillo of Jeffersonville for most of the day, Friday.

Police say a SWAT team, hostage negotiators and agents from the FBI, Drug Enforcement Agency and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms descended on the neighborhood around 10:30 a.m. EST after a vehicle believed linked to the shootings was found at the residence.

Meanwhile, Jeffersonville Detective Todd Hollis says 22-year-old Vincent Windell Jr. and 19-year-old Kyle Bieber, who were questioned by police concerning the shootings at a southern Indiana motel, have been released and are no longer considered suspects.
