INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Wednesday a committee of lawmakers will discuss whether Indiana's ban on Sunday alcohol sales should be lifted.
The committee is made up of 16 lawmakers from both sides of the aisle. Committee members say they will have about 3 or 4 meetings then report their findings to other fellow lawmakers before the start of the 2010 legislative session.
"We have been talking about this for a long time, we will talk about it in the future and there are many sides to the issue and we're going to hear it all," said Senator Jim Merritt, R-Indiana.
The committee will also discuss the state's ban on Election Day alcohol sales. The group will begin taking public testimony from folks during another meeting next Tuesday.
Lawmakers are encouraging folks to attend these meetings or let your elected officials know your feelings on the issue.
