INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Democrat Joe Donnelly's unusual campaign strategy in the 2nd Congressional District is working, according to the WISH-TV Indiana 2010 Election Poll.
Joe Donnelly is a Democrat who has been running against the Obama Administration and the leadership in Congress. Donnelly has gone so far as to say that, if re-elected, he might vote against Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House, assuming Democrats maintain control in Congress.
It has given him a solid lead in our 2010 Election poll. It shows Donnelly at 48 percent and Republican Jackie Walorski at 39 percent. Walorski trails, even though she has been the recipient of GOP help from Washington.
In the 7th Congressional District Democrat, André Carson is cruising toward re-election. Our poll shows Carson with 50 percent of the vote if the election took place now. Republican Marvin Scott has just 33 percent and Libertarian Dav Wilson is at 6 percent.
Marvin Scott has staff and fundraising problems and little hope of pulling that one out.
