INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Princeton University will award Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels its Woodrow Wilson Award, a top honor for undergraduate alumni for a career that embodies the call to duty made by the former president.

Daniels is a two-term governor who will become president of Purdue University in January after he leaves office. Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs Dean Cecilia Rouse says Daniels career embodies service.

Daniels served as an adviser to President Ronald Reagan, director of the Office of Management and Budget for President George W. Bush, and chief of staff for Sen. Richard Lugar.

Daniels graduated with a bachelor's degree from Princeton in 1971. He will be presented the award on Feb. 23.
