Results roll in around Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - As election results rolled in Tuesday night, some races were called quickly.

Mitt Romney was quickly declared the winner in Indiana. Democrat Andre Carson was elected to the U.S. House, and Attorney Greg Zoeller was also re-elected .

Speeches began around 9 p.m. Republicans were gathering at Lucas Oil Stadium, while Democrats gathered at a downtown Indianapolis hotel.

There were reports across the state of voters waiting in lines for one or two hours on Tuesday, as counties reported high turnout. Some counties with voting centers handled a presidential election for the first time.
