INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - With less than three weeks until Election Day, both major parties are bringing their heavy hitters to the Hoosier state.
Last week, Bill Clinton campaigned for Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Joe Donnelly.
On Wednesday, Republican heavy hitters John McCain and Chris Christie are in Indianapolis for Republican candidate Richard Mourdock. Christie will host a second event in Merrillville as well.

On Tuesday, 24-Hour News 8 political reporter Jim Shella spoke with Senator McCain.
McCain said this one seat from Indiana could affect which party controls the Senate and who becomes Senate majority leader.
McCain said Mourdock will not vote Democrat Harry Reid back into that position, calling Reid the worst majority leader he's ever seen.
“If Mr. Mourdock's opponent wants to vote for Harry Reid to be the majority leader, then I don't think that' he's in keeping with the feelings of the people of the state of Indiana,” McCain said.
At this point, Joe Donnelly has not formally committed to voting for Reid.
“He has to if he's a Democrat,” McCain said. “That is disingenuous to the people of Indiana. Do the people of Indiana really believe that he might vote for Mitch McConnell, the Republican, as majority leader? Give me a break.”
Wednesday morning, Senator McCain will campaign at a downtown breakfast.
Wednesday afternoon, Governor Christie will host an event called "The Year of Republican Women Rally."
Wednesday evening, Governor Christie will travel to Merrillville for another rally at 7 p.m.
